1. Backup Anything You Need

To backup your games and other data, you’ll need to have an external hard drive or other external storage. It should have at least 256 GB of storage and should be empty: any other data you have on the disk will be wiped.

4. Disconnect All Peripherals and Cords

After you’ve removed all of the dust from the console’s ports and vents, you should wipe its surface with a microfiber cloth to remove any fingerprints and other smears that are on its case.
Finally, you should also clean off your controller and remove any dust from the console’s cords. Controllers often get especially mucky due to the oils in our skin, so give it a wipe with your cloth until it looks as good as new.
